Olympic Games 2016 - Hows Your Country Getting On?
The 2016 Olympic Games are well under way and the medals table are looking interesting.
Remember its how many gold medals that a team wins and not how many gold, silver and bronze that are accumulated.
As expected, we have the USA well in the lead.
Good news at this time for Great Britain as they are second in the table with China third and Russia fourth.
Let us know how your team are getting on.

The Olympic Games have been pretty good this time around and I have turned into a couch-potato so far while watching them
I am innocent, are you?

Laura Trott has just won a gold medal for Great Britain.
She is being interviewed on television right now and is so happy she is crying in hysterics
That's 18 gold medals for the UK if I have this correct.

Laura Trott and her partner, Jason Kenny, have won 10 gold medals between them.Dez wrote:Laura Trott has just won a gold medal for Great Britain.

Had their household been a country they would be 12th in the medals table.
Jason's last race was a one to watch with two false starts.
He came strong at the end and won yet again.
The UK or Team GB are still second in the table on 19 golds - remember 10 of those are by the engaged couple above
They are the most successful partnership in the history of the Olympic games according to the BBC.
Re: Olympic Games 2016 - Hows Your Country Getting On?
Alistair Brownlee came first in the Triathlon and his brother Jonny came second.
Alistair was so far ahead of the field that he just walked the end bit
Great Britain now has 22 gold medals and still second in the medals table.
The Rio Olympics are looking really good for Team GB

The Rio Olympics end today and I will miss them.

For the first time, GB ended up above China.
We came second in the medals table and should be proud of the achievement
