The UK Will Now Leave The EU

The UK Will Now Leave The EU

British people voted in numbers yesterday and have opted to leave the EU.
The referendum has shown us that the politicians were not listening to the public.
David Cameron wanted us to stop in the EU and has announced his resignation.
In a referendum the majority get their way and 52% voted to leave.

Cameron says he will not trigger the Article 50 thing that will start the divorce begin.
Hopefully the UK can start trading with the rest of the world as soon as possible.
I opened the curtains the day after the election and saw the whole world not just Europe.
We are now an outwardly looking country and fully independent.
I will not be reading any newspapers today, its my day off!

The decision of the British people to leave the EU has sent a shock around the world.
Why?
Well its nothing to do with anything but the money men - they are the only ones who benefit by the UK being in the EU.
The thing is, Britain will be able to trade with the rest of the world now.
Once that happens we will see Britain becoming more affluent and a big independent player.
Should Donald Trump become president of the USA then both the UK and the USA will become closer.
And more to the point...................

With Brexit winning, the UK will leave the EU but I do hope its not a messy divorce.
The British people have spoken and have been brave in doing so.
Those politicians that have tried to win through planting fear in the minds of the public have failed miserably.
In fact, they were responsible for some people voting the way they did.
Lets hope we can show the world that you do not have to be a member of a trading bloc to compete in the world market.
Instead of being inwardly looking we can now look at the world as being our oyster.
Well done Britain!
I am innocent, are you?

This man called Pat Condell has something to say about those bad losers who are crying all the time about the UK leaving the EU.

I reckon behind the scenes there will be heaps of bargaining going on with our former trading partners.
The UK will show Europe how to do it

While its good to pause for thought, this does seem to be dragging on.
Triggering Article 50 will be a big thing though.

The title here is slightly misleading
The UK voted for Brexit and that means leaving the EU.
Here we are a long time after the referendum with a new prime minister and still no signs of leaving yet :headscratch:
David Bowie has died - what more can I say
