Professor Stephen Hawking has died aged 76

Of course, in this RIP Forum, we celebrate the lives of those famous people that have left us. Obviously some people die way too early, but some have had a long fruitful life. So, tell us all here.

Professor Stephen Hawking has died aged 76

One of the most famous scientists the world has ever known, Stephen Hawking, has died at the age of 76.
The British theoretical physicist has also become an instantly recognised celebrity as well.
He developed motor neurone disease which practically shut down his body.
Hawking spoke though computerised voice which he controlled really well from his cheek muscle.
His book ' A Brief History of Time' remained in the best seller list for 237 weeks.

Hawking also warned us about sudden nuclear war and feared for the human race.
However, his work around the general theory of relativity and quantum mechanics, explaining the theory of cosmology is what most remember him for.
His explanations about black holes are very interesting.

Rest in peace.

His ashes are going to lay beside some of the UK's most prominent scientists in Westminster Abbey.
Well done to those who ensured this would happen.
Brilliant mind Hawking had.
RIP.
