The Kepler Space Telescope has detected an unknown cluster around a star that can't be explained. However, some experts are saying that the objects are just what you would "expect an alien civilization to build".

The bizarre swarm of megastructures just doesn't make sense.
Nothing like it has ever been found found before.
The star is known as KIC 8462852 has attracted attention a few years ago as a place where there may be Earth like planets.
Theories have suggested that the unusual cluster may suggest that intelligent life have placed massive energy collecting devices around the star in order to collect energy.

Well, while nobody can dismiss these experts' opinions, I would say its a load of bunkum.
I really would like to think of some intelligent life out there but they would have to be so advanced in ways we can't ever imagine. To be able to tap the power of a star so much that we can detect it here on Earth from 1,000 light years away seems a bit far fetched.

Of course it is only their opinions but we all have our own.
If this alien civilisation can manage to do that then they are so advanced they must also be seeking out life in the universe just like us. They would be able to detect us. If we go forward 1,000 years our technology would be capable of almost anything.

If they are right and these aliens have tapped into the energy of a star then they can't be that much ahead of us on Earth.
I'd say with a little push, humans could do this also within a hundred years.
That would mean we have developed at roughly the same time.
Their next step is to pop out of their vicinity and look for other lifeforms if they haven't already detected them.
Our technology is advanced enough to be able to let us see planets orbiting other stars.
The scientists are even telling us which are in the "Goldilocks" zone.
Soon I expect them to detect the atmospheres of those planets from Earth.
If those aliens that supposedly built megastructures do exist then they could actually be on their way here.

Your guess is just as good as these experts.
I would like to think that they were alien megastructures.
If true, they will know that there is life on Earth.

This sounds about right because even we can detect worlds around the stars now and its just a matter of time before we find out if there is water and an atmosphere. If there's water and oxygen etc then that is the sign that life could be present.

If they can harness the power of their own star then they will be very advanced.
What has to be considered is that we see the images where they were 1,000 years ago!
That means right now, if it is an alien life form that made the structures, they will be extremely advanced.
