Furthest Galaxy Ever Discovered
The Hubble Telescope has discovered a galaxy that is 13.4 billion years old.
We see it at its infant stage at only 3% of its current age.
It has been called GN-z11.

Re: Furthest Galaxy Ever Discovered
With it being so far away there could have been many countless forms of life evolved and died out there already.
I am innocent, are you?
Re: Furthest Galaxy Ever Discovered
So basically at 3% it hasn't even turned into a proper galaxy, of course in reality, it might have developed and been destroyed by now
David Bowie has died - what more can I say
Re: Furthest Galaxy Ever Discovered
Who knows, there might have been earth-like planets formed with intelligent life forms.
Their planets may have become exhausted and they may have built space craft capable of mass migrations looking for other worlds to occupy.
We just don't know but I hope they don't come here if so

Re: Furthest Galaxy Ever Discovered
The distances involved are amazing.
There is a new space telescope going up soon which will be able to show more objects in more detail.
I can't wait.

Re: Furthest Galaxy Ever Discovered
Its amazing really and because the universe is still expanding we will never know much about this galaxy.Joseph wrote:We can only see this galaxy at only 3% of its development
Jeeeez.
Earth will end well before we understand anything much about its development.

Re: Furthest Galaxy Ever Discovered
Why do we even bother looking for these far off galaxies, some of which are not even developed?
We will never get there - ever!
We will never get there - ever!
Re: Furthest Galaxy Ever Discovered
We see it as dust now but there it will have been fully formed and maybe even destroyed.Sam wrote:Its just dust lol
Its this what we can't get our heads around.
Space time is wonderful.
