Vitamin supplements is a waste of time
According to reports from Oxford University, taking vitamin supplements is a complete waste of time.
Over a five years period, they tracked 20,000 people.
Some were given vitamins and some given dummy tablets.
Apparently this is how they do it by using placebos.
Researchers found that there was no difference in the incidence of cancer, heart disease or strokes.
It is a well known fact that we get all the vitamins we need from eating well-balanced diets.
However, some people obviously don't do this and need extra vitamins from somewhere.
But with no extra protection by taking them, what's the point.
I was ill recently for about six months and took vitamin tablets thinking I was getting what I needed but apparently not.
According to those in the know, your body will not absorb all the vitamins in one go this way.
So what is the correct way to take vitamin pills?
If taking the recommended daily intake, would it be better to take twice as much?

Re: Vitamin supplements is a waste of time
Vitamins are obviously necessary, don't stop taking them on the grounds of some study.
They are needed for some people who don't eat a balanced diet.

Some vitamins are inter-dependent on others so you need a few together I would imagine.
Re: Vitamin supplements is a waste of time
I don't see vitamin problems as a waste of time. They will work but maybe not as some people think.
